I may be wrong but I seem to recall there were issues with his professional life.

I think he is part of a wealthy family and holds or held a senior position in their business which meant he was unable to go full time.

I may have just made that up but seem to recall it being mentioned in the past.

If he is signing for us assume that has changed or his ability to fulfil a full time opportunity in rugby has become his priority.

He smashed James Graham in the World Cup and looks to be able to break a tackle, Announcer was calling him the Wrecking Ball, Got to better than Clarke

30 years old and one pro game? I'd rather give our youngsters the game time, or look to the Championship if we want an older head.

It’s not one Pro game. Burleigh are a semi pro club and wouldn’t finish bottom of SL.

He is their captain and a full PNG international.

It’s all well and good blooding youngsters but you have to manage that process especially at Prop.

Whilst he may not be a big name if he signs I think he will be an asset to the club who will provide probably a 2 year platform to take the pressure off the younger lads and let them develop.

Maybe I'm being disrespectful to Burleigh but we've seen enough seasoned NRL props fail over here, never mind guys that age who aren't even has-beens. I get what you're saying about managing the introduction of the young guys but there are a few of them to rotate

Got a “meh” type feeling over this one. There’s a reason he’s 1 NRL game and it sure as hell isn’t business reasons. If he was good enough, he’d be playing or will have played regularly. I just find that excuse utter nonsense and a soft excuse. He may be a full PNG international and captain of Burleigh Bears but with 1 NRL game it says “not good enough”.

If he couldn’t play NRL because of business reasons my question is what’s changed? He’d get paid more in the NRL than he does here - why lose money? It just doesn’t make sense to me.

If he does sign of course I’ll give him my backing and hope he does well but from what I’ve heard and saw (even on YouTube) I’m hardly impressed.

it is 1 pro game the rest are semi pro, how do you know they wouldnt finish bottom of super league?

It’s an opinion that I believe they wouldn’t finish bottom of SL the standard in that league is very high.
