Page could be a shrewd bit of business.

I can only go off what limited stuff I’ve seen of him and reputation but he is a very tough bloke.

Quite compact and stocky but capable of playing big minutes and an all action style.

Very durable and the kind of player that becomes a fans favourite.

It’s not maybe the big name we would love however I don’t think he would command a big wage, Lam will know all about him and he could be maybe classed as a stop gap and I’d think we may have room to squeeze in another signing.

I’d compare him to a more aggressive version of Gabe Hamlin if you are looking for a player of similar style.

Another body tho and hopefully we can shift Clarke and bring in another option too.

At 30 years of age you'd think Lam would know all about him.
Never heard of him prior to this but let's all just give him a chance. I'm happy with this as we've now four experienced (by age) props.
Looking forward to the new season.

Yes just edited it to compare him to Hamlin on my post.

He is a bit more of an enforcer than Hamlin though, got that bit of dog in him.

Seem to remember him levelling James Graham playing for PNG.

The key for me is his age, he brings experience and is a “grown” Prop, my concern this year was we would be relying on the younger lads a bit too much.

I think he has captained PNG and he is captain at Burleigh.

Concussive style, low centre of gravity so regularly finds his front and generates a quick play the ball. With the new laws in place it could be a very good fit. I think his ability to generate quick PTB’s will be a real asset and I’m sure he will not only get us on the front foot but also get us some penalties around the ruck also.

I wouldn’t be gutted if we don’t sign him but if we do I’d be quite excited as he is the type of player that will become a bit of a cult figure in SL very quickly.

Given he is a PNG international I don’t think he would have issues with a visa.

Just seen the video of Graham getting knocked out tackling him. He certainly runs it in at pace! Seems very strange that he’s played one NRL game and if he is coming here, I’m sure it’ll be on very modest money, so why not I guess. The game is so different over here to the NRL that some players games really suit playing in superleague.

If he can manage 20/30 minutes a game and can tackle and prepared to carry it when the going gets tough then he will be better than some of our current props. I always look at signings and think will they make us better?

There is a 10 minute highlight real on YouTube which looks like it has been put together as part of a scouting package by his manager.

It’s from 2013 so very dated but gives you a flavour of what he is about.

The more I think about it the more I think this signing could be a positive at this stage of the year.
