Tough to say if I’m disappointed without knowing if we were in for him or not. I do like him as a player and certainly in this modern game (if we stick to the rules post covid) I think he could really develop his game. I said mid season that if we cut our cloth, trim the squad down and don’t sign anybody at all I couldn’t grumble as just to have a team to watch would be enough. Since then we signed Field, signed Bateman and got French and Hastings tied down. We have a raft of young forwards coming through and as much as it would be nice to get one more prop in, it wouldn’t be the end of the world if we don’t get anybody.
