If I were a fan of Hull I’d want to know what the longer term plan is. Once Benji has taken his wad back home, do they have a succession plan in place or will these constant stream of quick fixes just keep rolling through. St Helens have just won their second GF on the spin, Wigan won 2 of the 3 before that, Leeds won the ones either side of that Wigan win in 2016, Saints, Leeds and Wigan dominated it before that, alongside Bradford and all four threw themselves head first in to bringing talent through their academies and continue to do so. Hull have dipped their toe in a little bit but not to the level that is needed to build a club that will challenge the monopoly of those 3 sides above (which used to be 4). Rugby league seems a way of life in Hull, the amateur clubs always seem to be strong, so where are the players? Why is it failing in the main?
Don’t solve that and you can keep bringing as many Benji’s in as you want but you’re going nowhere in the long run.
