I'd have him in a heartbeat but realistically the only way it's happening is if we get Burgess and Clubb off the books and they're going to have to retire for that to happen.

I'm not arguing that he's not phenomenal player, because he definitely is. He'd walk into our side and he'd take us to another level too.

I'm just not sure if, given the players we've got OOC next season, it would be smart to have him as a marquee.

If we could get two really good players (including a prop) for the same kind of money as one pheromonal player I'd be looking at that option too.

Same. And another questioning whether he should be on marquee

If Luke Thompson was available and willing to come (an astronomical if), he’d warrant marquee. He’d warrant whatever he wanted to be honest and I’d be pay off GB to get him in. Just having him in our side puts us, and without a shred of humbleness, as out and out favourites for the SL and CC in 2021.

I find it hard to believe though, I just can’t see it happening in any reality, even in the absurdity of 2020.

I just can't see it happening. He's only just gone out there, he's a young lad and would expect him to at least give it a go.

It would have to be one hell of a good reason for wanting to come home so soon (see Bateman for example).

Sadly not as easy as paying off GB as whatever we paid him would still count against the cap.

The only way I see is moving George on would be in case of medical retirement like Sam with an insurance claim against his contract.

I personally hope that doesn’t happen and somehow his hip issue can be resolved but it’s sadly not looking likely.

would it be if he deregistered and in effect not a player next year and didnt play a game?
