Please share this evidence you have that he ‘tried so hard to escape’ if there is any! As has been said, it’s rumour started by a single journalist working for the most despicable paper in the world, in an article written without any contact with the player etc.

Once you’ve shared your evidence, I’ll consider sharing mine about Luke Thompson having already signed for the Rabbitohs for 2021.

Heard Thompson signed a while back when Wayne Bennett was over in the UK.

I'd be very surprised if he became a Wigan player. If you contrast the Hastings we know as Salford fans, with the way that Hastings is with Wigan and their fans, it's like night and day. He literally couldn't do enough for fans in real life and on social media. His silence is deafening. There is something afoot.

As to what happens next, I have no idea, but if I was a betting man I wouldn't be putting money on him playing for Wigan.

I think it’s that difference in attitude that gives people the fear that he’s not coming. In saying that I doubt he was making pals with Salford fans and going out of his way to respond to Salford fans before he played for them either. He also seems to have knocked Twitter on the head, so he’s not really conversing with anyone, other than via the odd Instagram picture or comment.

I'm sure Thompson will be in the NRL in 2021 - he'd be a mug not to.

I don't know what paper the link was in, but the most despicable paper in the world is comfortably the Daily Mail.
