Depends what extra we've spent retaining French, I imagine a lot. Plus we have a lot of youngsters we'll want to keep which imagine will require big contract increases (Smith and Havard being the obvious ones).

We’ve signed Bateman and will be signing Field by the looks of things. An Increased deal for French will have eaten up more space and I’d imagine Ethan Havard will have wanted a fair increase to stay in superleague. There are other guys leaving or rumoured to be leaving (Wells, J Burgess and minor rumours of G Burgess plus maybe Gildart/Hastings) though, so it feels like there may be more movement yet.

I'd probably guess that Field and Bibby will be our utility players next year. For all the usual mud slinging, I'd be happy with Bibby as either our 2nd or 3rd choice winger.

Be interesting to see what happens with Field, will he be viewed as a partner for Hastings in the halves? Or will he be a utility back covering most of the backline? With injuries so rife I imagine game time won’t be a massive issue but it’s tough not having a nailed spot, Rashford has made a good career chopping and changing but there isn’t many who do.

There's a lot of moving parts and headaches.

If Hastings stays (which I hope) and Tommy goes around again (another thing I hope), then there's 4 HB's for two slots.

I have to admit that, if I was Smith, I'd probably be cheesed off if Field came over and bagged a starting HB spot. Despite Field being slightly older, he's not held down a starting spot in the NRL.

Heard Clubb is considering retiring on medical grounds. This would also free up a considerable amount of cash - hearing he’s on a decent salary.
