Thats the most frustrating thing with certain posters. They will dispel the club for rumours and media led stories coming out of the press, but are also happy to use the same medium they use to back their stance as fully accurate, and use it as evidence.

Tomkins is gone, we all know that, Bowen is a top class full back who still tears teams to bits in the NRL.

Are you speculating that a club might be deliberately misleading its own fans? That would never happen over here....

They aren't on a par with them but they could be decent players in a couple of years. Again if they're good enough, they will force their way through.

To have Tomkins and Richards leave and just have 4 kids with everything to prove replace them would be ridiculous management. It wouldn't do those kids a favour either when they're being pummelled by morons in the stands everytime we get beat (which would be a lot more often then currently).

Not a rumour or anything, but would anyone else be looking at Jack Owens from Widnes as a replacement for Paddy or are Burgess and Manfredi that good especially when you take into account that Owens is a top kicker and we won't really have one next season?

I find it deeply disrespectful and out-right stupid to even think Hampshire etc AT THIS TIME are anywhere near Bowen.
Bowen has been one of the best FB in the world for many years, played many NRL games and als for Queensland. Hampshire has potential, but right now, at this point he's a million miles away.

So who for now would you rather have? No brainer.

Bowen will be, or very close to being the best FB in SL when he arrives. I welcome the signing, he's a fantastic player.

And no I don't care about him being 31/32, some of the best players in our league are of a similar age, I think age is only 1 factor, not the only factor when signing a player.

Lets say they're all on a par for arguments sake, it still doesn't matter as all 4 aren't ready to step in to the boots of two club legends even if they share the games between them.

This is a man's game and Alan Hansen wouldn't be found out with comments like 'you don't win things with kids' in Rugby League.

I thought the HKR prop Adam Walker was outstanding again tonight.
