I expect us to go into the season with the squad we have once we have announced Gelling.

Are people serious about getting Gaskell and Lomax? Would we have let Sam or Mellor go to saints last season?

Pipe dreams if we think we can get Gaskell IMO and Lomax hasn't been mentioned as a rumour but just by some people saying they think he's better.

The facts are we probably don't need them. We have Mellor and Powell who have great potential. They're a year(2 in Lomax's case) further back in their development and it's hard to say how they'll get on in the first team but they show signs of being quality players.

As for Lomax he's a class act, a cracking individual talent but he'd be that at fullback, centre, hooker or halfback and he isn't the type of player who will get his side around the place.

Luckily for Saints they've got the pair of them and they form a very well balanced pairing.

Your not on your own; I think Gaskell looks the better organisor, he seems very mature and has a varied game

I'd snatch Gaskell off their hands, he's a much better player than Wheeler.
