That figure would be somewhere near what we should be asking for him.

If we are getting that much then we should be looking to invest it back in to the side.

Sorry if I wasn't clear. With transfer fees counting on the salary cap in the NRL (ludicrous IMO) it's pretty certain we'll be receving a staggered fee off NZW for Tomkins. If £720k is what is being talked about I guess we'd be getting £240k a season over 3 years. That would leave Sam earning around £360k a season if this AU$1 million figure is to be believed.

He'd be totally wasted in Union a bit like Sam would be.

On that front it always makes me wonder who pulled the rug on a move to Union for Tomkins? Was it him? Or them?

I was 100% convinced at one point he'd be going to Union.

Agreed he looks a great prospect big athletic and a rugby brain. Certainly 1 to watch.
