Sorry but I don't think people are facing up to the deep-seated nature of the problems at Wigan. People tend to fixate on the coach OR the signing of the wrong players/failure to sign the right players for the right position OR the apparent lack of fitness of a number of our players OR the poor tactics OR Lockers isn't a good captain etc etc.
The facts are that the whole club has lost its way. Nothing has improved since Mo left. If anything the culture of accepting second best has become more entrenched, with the new phenomenon of "not football related issues" causing problems behind the scenes. All the signs are that the club needs a clear out from top to bottom - playing, coaching and backroom staff (and judging from another thread on this board the marketing staff who allow merchandise to be issued with basic spelling errors!).
Ultimately for me the buck stops with the man at the top, IL.
He must be very concerned at the malaise at the club but there is very little evidence he is prepared to or able to do anything about it.
I have to say that I am very worried for the future of the club.
