As a season ticket holder and Wigan TV subscriber, but I don’t live in Wigan so no way I was going to the shop at 10am then having to come back for the Leeds game in the evening.
I feel let down, I’m obsessed with the club and would love to know exactly what got said but not got the opportunity.

Frustrating.
Did you pop in the shop before the Leeds game and try to get a ticket?
The Burgess thing was less than 1% of what was talked about Did anyone question, no, but they had the chance to I didn't question because I know he was injured/had a hip condition when he signed, but as I said context is a wonderful thing. What they actually said was that he came in for pre season overweight etc, they worked him in his words as hard, if not the hardest in pre season that he's ever had. They did say that started the problem, I interpreted that as they aggravated the existing injury to a point that pushed him over the edge so to speak. Which they said they handled badly.
As I have said numerous times, I sit in the fence about their reasons for not broadcasting it.
If I'm honest, the absolute overriding thing I took away from last night was the Business side of things. If I were to throw a number rout I would say 75% of the evening/presentation was about those issues. So in the grand scheme of things the evening listening to a 1% Burgess explanation , 1% Hardaker, 1% Bateman, 1% Williams 1% Edwards etc doesn't bother me. That may make me niaive, that may make me unusual as I suspect most people are interested in the playing side of things only (in the main) but I was, and most people who know me know i run a couple of amateur sporting organisations, very interested in the off the field issues that have been faced I the last 20 months or so.
Putting 2 replies into 1 about the Edwards thing, the only real thing that was said was that Rads defended IL about the situation Only on the subject of Edwards claims in the press etc. and that he would categorically refute some of those claims as he was involved in situations that contradict Edwards reporting of events.he didn't defend him on the non contract situation etc, he didn't say IL had got everything right, he just gave a couple of example of where one side of the story painting Wigan/IL in a bad light wasn't true as he was involved etc. Again, context
Its very difficult to reflect context, very difficult to sum up 2hrs of information in quick replies. But I can only say that of the 10 or so that i was with or around me, and then I spoke to a group of lads (Itchys sons included) none were scathing and all seemed understanding of the issues faced in the last 2 years or so. That doesn't mean they agreed with everything, I dont agree with everything, both IL and Rads admitted mistakes they and the club had made.
I think some of the language used towards people who attended is absolutely awful. In about 2 mins I'm going to reply to 100% warrior about his reflections on elitism, contemptuous, and the next bit which if I am honest is totally unnecessary with one word. Wow
It was the clubs decision not to broadcast live, I can't say it any more than I have, I see both sides of the argument. To be honest, as per most of these fans forums the over riding feeling I come away with is why bother, they're dammed if the do, dammed if they don't.
I will categorically tell people that there were dozens of people there last night who are quite simply lads/ladies who go watching rugby. They're not part of some secret club that does IL and Rads bidding for them etc. For them to be labelled as complicit in a cover up, whitewash etc and to be linked to some of those words that 100% warrior has used is terrible in my opinion.
Anyway As I've said previously I found it very enlightening on multiple fronts, and I know on the things that I was interested in that lies were not told, as I explained to someone I know a few people who were involved in certain situations and still are and they told me months and months ago things that IL/Rads said last night. They didn't say very thing and I wouldn't expect them too especially whole certain situations are still delicate.
Thanks for this.
Context is a very important word which is why I said several times if things that were being reported were accurate.
As I’ve said a number of times I’m a big fan of IFL and will always be grateful for what he has done for the club.
I guess the danger is always how it is reported when it is in such a closed environment, and especially when us as “fans” generally look towards the headlines of player movement and performance etc. In truth I like you am more interested in the business model and issues throughout the last few years but I guess at best we would have to wait for that.

Tickets were still available the day after, so I suppose you could have gone to the shop before the game and asked if there were any left? I get the point that they may have already gone so driving over at 8am to pick them up would have been a problem, but there were tickets left when you did come later?
I saw approx 10 empty seats, but to be fair there were a couple stood up at the back, so even people who went for tickets didn't all turn up.
I can imagine if they let people ring up, order online etc from all over the place there may have been more cry offs etc.

For me, the club have dropped the ball on this one.
It isn't your place to report back and the club should have streamed it live. I'm fully of the opinion that, if they wanted to say stuff that they aren't comfortable sharing in the media then they shouldn't say it at all.
I'll hold my hands up and say that I started the posts about the condensing nature of some of the people who attended. I'm standing by it based off the stuff I've seen on Twitter as a lot of it is pretty condescending.

We all had the opportunity to get a ticket. Those who went speak positively about the event and are confident in those running the club. I trust IL and KR who will always have the best interest of the club at heart and as has been said, it will all come out in due course. I’m grateful to those who went and have put bits of information on here and from this, I’m a lot more relaxed about the state of of the club. The fact we’re looking for a scrum half gives me reason for optimism for next season.

They stream it live and people sit through 10 minutes of stupid questions, they'll moan.
They record it, edit out the crap and they moan it wasn't live.
Literally can't win.
I expect the presentation will be shown in full and that was the key part of the night not the 18th question about the stadium and someone talking about the hall of fame.

I think we need to be clear what you mean when you say "you can't win". Basically it's pandering to a small minority who will complain regardless.
You can't/shouldn't not do things, because we have a moaning element of our club tho. There's plenty of reasonable fans, season ticket holders, Wigan TV subscribers etc who, at this moment, don't seem to be deserving of an update from the club.
Would it have been that hard for them to say something like, we'll be recording the event and if will be on Wigan TV within a week?
