I actually enjoy it, the premise of the show is its meant to be blokes in the pub talking about all the subjects and they are doing it on screen.

Jammer is currently on and screaming at the journos about the head high crackdown in the NRL. Jammers stuck up for WIlliams.

If George signs anywhere it will be long term. Wire or Leeds wouldn't allow themselves to be used as a stop gap for 6 months so he could then go to Wigan. I really hope he signs for us.
How we fit him under the salary cap will be the conundrum.
Might be resolved, sadly, if French's injury is long term and he's out for the season. By all rumours he's on a fair wedge so if he was released (with a pay off) then that would make money available for GW. I don't know how the SC works regarding allocation. If George were to sign now then would 6 months salary count on the cap as 6 months has been taken on the Raiders cap, or does a full 12 months count?

As for him fitting in then I agree with as has been said, Hastings to 13 and George to 6.

Best of Luck to IL & Rads in getting George signed.
I hope they are successful.

Any pay off to French would still count on the cap.

Looks to be a complex one but probably a few ways to make it work.

Let’s be honest he is a must for us.

Potential to sign him on a reduced contract then the following year top that up once he can take marquee status by paying over his market value.

Probably a concern about deferred payments with that last one although if it is all contractually in writing then I think it would be ok.

Watching tonights episode of NRL 360. They are slating Williams for not manning up. Kenty is saying he is back to you guys as Hastings is going to the Tigers. Hooper has said its not done and us and Leeds are in the hunt.

I'm not sure on how Canberra are treating this, on the surface it seems like Canberra dont give two you know whats. However it is suggested that Williams isnt helping himself.

I'd be surprised if he hasnt got something lined up for next season already whoever it is.

It was a disgusting watch. Journo’s over there are pathetic

I watched one recently. Not sure what its called , but its like what we used to have for football called sunday supplement.

It was basically 4 journalists discussing rugby league and all they did for an hour was shout at each other and over each other. It was utterly shambolic

I actually quite like it. I love how big the sport is over there and how much scrutiny comes with it. Yes, they cross the line but I'd rather have that than the shambolic coverage we get.

Imagine journos actually holding the game to account and not Baz and Tez trying to be everyone's best mate.

For sale full Saints kit (circa 1989). Shirts in pristine condition, but shorts badly soiled.

For 27 - 0 you get a trophy
For 75 - 0 you get sod all.

Wigan had eight in a row
Saints have five in a row

Only £75K of his salary would count on the cap and Wigan usually keep an amount spare for mid season opportunities.

If the physical finance is there to take advantage of that it’s an easy decision. To have a cracking player here whilst using that rule is a big advantage going forward. It’s all about having the finance though I suppose, both now and in the future to use it to its maximum potential.

Wigan must be in pole position to sign him since they have some form of 'first refusal' option, Wigan are his home team club, and he would only count £75k on your cap vs. £150k elsewhere (home trained).

The problem for any club is, do they have an unused marquee space? If both spots are already filled then one marquee player has to count 100% towards the cap.

But he would only be signing for half a season, so you would expect that Wigan, Leeds and the wolfs have room for him this season, the breaker may be the following seasons and the length of contract on offer, as has been said many times we have first communication with him, not a guaranteed right to sign him, he may not want to come back to Wigan, Gildart will be gone next year, Burgess is at Salford, so lads he grew up with have moved on

hope I'm wrong though
