When Maurice sold me to Leeds something changed, it just not the same, the passion inside me just wasn’t the same as running out at Central park for my hometown club. We need a change of culture here; we don’t want to be just happy with playing ok on Saturday at St Helens. Ill make sure that from now on things will change, that players will be under pressure and will train a lot harder than they have before. Shaun Wane 8/10/09
"WE HAVE ACHIEVED WHAT YOU CAN ONLY EVER DREAM OF" WIGAN RLFC
The Mirror 30/10/09 How the Premier League table would look if teams were awarded points for famous fans...
20th: Wigan The Latics don't have any fans, yet alone any famous ones.
I ordered my tickets from the comfort of my sofa with ease. This isn't good enough for you? Do you expect a personal invitation to the stadium, a limosine to provide the travel, and to be carried up to the stand of your choice to select your pew?
And if you are that bothered about where you sit, have the confidence to come out from behind your computer monitor and use the telephone to order your tickets, I'm sure they can accomodate your precise requirements there.
Jeesss big man, woooooohhhh hang on a minute!! Thats one angry post!! Where does it say in my post that I havent ordered my tickets yet? Got my tickets on the 2nd day of sale. My point is WIGAN fans that usually use the club e-ticketing service can find the precise seat they want to sit in (if available) yet because the RFL ARE taking control of certain blocks of the stands, people cannot precisly choose which seat to sit in, its pot luck what the RFL seating system throws at you.
Obviously you have great confidence in the RFL unlike 99% of RL fans in country. If im not mistaken youre a Quins fan, right? Maybe thats why your sucking upto the RFL as theyve not half looked after your weasely little club over the years.
Pat Richards is poop. A typical, average, run of the mill NRL outside back. Nothing special at all. Like Barrett he is a myth. He is solid enough, he can catch, he can kick goals.

How dare the RFL take control of certain blocks at their own event!!!!! Those nasty inconsiderate people. You know not only Wigan fans want to go to the game. Its not pot luck if you call them up, or buy online through Wigan, or call Wigan or go to the ticket office at Wigan. Some people moan at everything. If people want to go, they will go. You make it sound like its difficult to get hold of tickets.

The RFL seem to have taken a large chunk of tickets off the club
Its an RFL event, not a Wigan one. How exactly have they taken a large chunk of tickets off the club? You seem to be very anti RFL, but your points here are very weak. If the game doesnt sell out its because of the fans, not the price or the ticketing system.

Erm thats because the RFL couldnt run a p@ss up at a brewery, and you'd have to be Stevie Wonder not to recognise that! They almost fecked up the WCC by announcing it before the Dragons had even confirmed they'd play in it. Magic weekend in Cardiff will be a feck up too. Should this game sell out? Deffo, but will it? Not on your Aunt Fanny's nelly!! Am I anti RFL, NO im anti the clowns that run it!! Its these clowns that have held back RL in this country for years and continue to do so.
The RFL should hand over control of the WCC to the clubs that are in it, they know their fans far better than some suit in Redhall. Do you not think this game would be far better run by our marketing man at Wigan? I sure do.

Off course it will, but it still doesnt change the fact that its not a Wigan event. Your complaining that the RFL have taken tickets, which is just stupid seeing as its an RFL event. You make it sound like its difficult to get tickets, just because the RFL dont have a system whereby you can pick the seat online. They never have yet we all seem to manage getting Wembley, GF, International tickets just. Your already saying it wont sell out and that its the RFL's fault, which again at this stage is just ridiculous.
I bet you would blame the RFL if it didnt sell out but praise Wigan if it did. Im no fan of the RFL but your bashing of them on this topic is abit bitter. As I said before if this game doesnt sell out, its because of the fans not the RFL.
So if it does sell out, which it will, will you amdit your wrong and priase the RFL????

IF the game sells out, and by George I really do hope it does, it will be in spite of the RFL not because of it, just like this game survives in spite of the RFL not because of the great work it does.
It was a club event until we went to Brisbane in 1994. The Broncos management offered a winner takes all purse and then when they lost didn't pay up. Wigan, I think, had to take them to court. Don't know the outcome. The RFL (Maurice Lindsay) took over the comp to prevent this sort of thing from happening again.

Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good - sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league - Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate - the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever - Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go - Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know - FIOS
I don't think it will sell out but that is mainly due to people either not being able to afford them or being to lazy to bother, not because the RFL have set prices too high. Personally I think it is a bargain to watch a great game like this.
However, the RFL have priced things slightly wrong over recent years because they have not built up the demand. If they had £15 tickets untill events were selling out everytime then we could up the price.
