If by tedious you meaning pointing the unpunished Wigan players that corrects the idea that Leeds are part of some kind rfl conspiracy, then yes I am tedious. :thumb:

You should listen to the majority of you lot, pathetic and just the reason why I dont come on here regular. It shows how little people do know about the game!. Yes, I'm a Leeds supporter and have been for many years. Wigan are a great team and I for one want to see two full strength teams out there battling it out. I personally think Wigan will win but you can't count Leeds out. See, there you go, a proper rugby fan with an unbiased view. Cut the trolling an bullshit, lets not get like football eh with childish pathetic comments by people who have peobably never even stepped foot on a pitch.

Prediction...Wigan by 8!

Well quoted, Mcguire stayed on the field and scored an importnat try if I am not mistaken, cheating in anyones book.

Maybe it's the Gary Hetherington book of definitions circulating in Leeds that is confusing them!!

Using your strange definition every player in SL could be classed as a cheat. They have all given a penalty away at some point in their career. IMO the most blatant example of on the field cheating was Tommy Martyns foot of god. That would put Saints top of the tree for on the pitch cheating whereas Wigan only hold the title of off the field cheats.

I think we have gotton off topic enough without gay icon Ryan Bailey being mentioned!!!

Does Wigan28/Leeds18 Andy want to have a look at this?

While there is a Ryan Bailey who is a gay icon, he's a 100m sprinter, not a Leeds rugby player.

The use of the word gay, or the implication of homosexuality as a way of slandering someone is incredibly homophobic and offensive, and has no place on a sporting messageboard.

If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.

Am I the only mod on here?

You really need to be able to distinguish between being called a gay icon and something homophobic. It's says more about your closed mind than anything else.

Sorry Andy, you seem to be the most active mod, given I've seen no others.

The point is this

Leeds Rhinos' prop forward Ryan Bailey is not a gay icon. That's a fact. So the claim that he is, is not a claim about the real world, describing a situation this exists.

It is a normative claim, in the sense that 'that Ryan Bailey, he's a gay icon' has a silent 'nudge nudge wink wink' after it, from which the reader is meant to draw their own conclusion.

As such, it's an attempt to imply that, were Ryan Bailey a gay icon, that would be bad, or that he is, in some way, associated with homosexuality, and that that'd bad, or contradictory to him being a tough as nails SoB on the pitch.

As such, that's something I find personally offensive.

And I hope that when I say 'personally offensive', people are as able to read the subtext, as they were for the Bailey remark.
