It's amazing how some fans will jump at the chance to sign pretty much anybody. Jesus we were a bad 20 minute patch away from the Challenge cup final, and 4 points away from the grand final - yet some seem to think that any old load of booty signing would be a good thing for us.
I'm really glad the club isn't a democracy.
Just wait until somebody else actually signs him. There'll be the usual plethora of "oh my God, wev'e missed another", "same old sh**, differnet day", eyeball rolling etc.

aboveusonlypie... If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.

I like the direction we are taking. Stabalize the ship, promote from within, move forward. Of course we still need a "poop house" prop. But it will be great to see if these lads, OUR LADS, can step up and then we can compliment with quality, not with people who don't even have their last legs left.

Spot on.
The only players Wigan should be looking at signing in the future are top quality players to improve on what we have. I believe we have a squad that has depth and a decent spread of quality. It could well be short of a couple of real world class players like Leeds and Saints have but in time we may be able to develope those from within or bring them in to replace outgoing players.
Also any player being brought in should only be in a position we have to strenghen not just any old player in any position just because they're available.

Careful.... or you will be regarded as a "Happy Clapper".

What do you mean, We need to sign every player available and then critcise them for being too fat, too slow, not value for their salary and not as good as a young player we already have.
Current thoughts - Mago out or get running up them plantations, get fit or get rid. Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal. Big tall strong running second rower, like a McMeekin or Sironen type back rower.
There isnt a chance we will touch Lesley, he is past it, broken down and plays in a position we have no need to make a signing.
No way Wigan would contemplate this. Its not Leneghan's way to sign ex-league rugby union failures who are crocked and will hardly ever be fit to play, especially with Karl Pryce covering the wing positions.
