RIP Inga

Absolutely devastating news. For many people of my age, Inga was an absolute idol of the game.



So many good and fond memories of the big man.

My wife and kids named our springer spaniel after him Inga the springer.

A big player on the field and a nice bloke off it,he would give time to anyone who talked to him. R.I.P. Inga ( from a saints fan )

Rest peacefully Inga.

Really sad news. A special player and true Wigan legend. R. I. P.

Absolutely gutted. One of my true heroes.



Just told my wife and she welled up.



What a sad sad day.



In full flight he was unstoppable. A man no matter who you support you wished played for your team, and a man everyone knew to be a truly decent, genuine and lovely human being. As Jason says, Inga changed his life completely.



Condolences to his friends and family, what a man.

Absolutely terrible news. This knocked me back a bit when I read it.

A true legend of the game.

get him in that Hall of Fame ASAP. It would be a fitting tribute and definitely deserved.

His impact on the Club and game in general as a player and more importantly a human being has been immense.

My everlasting memory of will be of him tackling Alan Hunte at Central Park, he held him up and pushed him back about 10 yds singlehandedly!

RIP big fella.

Never forget that game at Widnes in the Regal Trophy in Dec 1995 when he won the game single handily

Superstar player and a kind-hearted gentleman. Worthy of a Hall of Fame induction for me.

What a great player he was, felt sorry for anybody who had the task of trying to stop him.
