I was in work whilst recieving text updates, I thought my mate was having me on.

Loving all the whinging on the scouse board, they're going mad over O'Meley's smash on Roby which caused him to go off injured. Aparently 'The Ogre' led with his elbow.



One word:



Fozzard.

We started well but Saints took control in the first half on the back of a few dubious decisions from Phil Bentham. When Saints scored at the start of the second half to make it 6-26 I feared a real hammering.



We showed real character to turn it around and the atmosphere was amazing, especially when Tickle's drop went over (after a couple of misses from Longy).



As for Wigan, I can see you going all the way, the two weekends off for the cup will be a blessing in disguise. See you at our's next month for what should be a corker.

Matty, two wrongs don't make a right, and I don't want to see any player injured. As I posted on there, the match review commissioner will file a report and the match review panel will look at the game. If they see anything, the player involved, Mark O'Mealy? will have the incident viewed by the disciplinary and it will be taken from there.





But what is quite amusing is that the majority of posters on there who are doing the complaining never went to the game, nor have they seen the incident.

Cracking result for Hull, especially considering the start they got off to.

You are right that O'meley should be punished if he did use the elbow but what's laughable are the Saints fans who for years have defended Fozzard when he's done exactly the same kind of thing.



You can't have it both ways IMO.

Have they? Fozzard is well known among Saints fans for leading with the elbow, and IMO deserves whatever he gets for it. But Roby isn't Fozzard. Roby has to my knowledge never been guilty of any dirty play either by the ref or just by the fans (of either team). He is a clean player who 99.9% of the time has a superb tackling technique which puts neither himself nor his opposition at any risk. Any fan happy that Roby is possibly seriously injured because of what Fozzard has done in the past is an idiot and not worthy of breathing space.

I didn't see many Saints fans booing Fozzard when he knocked Fielden cold out with his elbow a few seasons ago.



Fielden also has an excellent tackling technique like Roby but it didn't matter then did it.

Was impressed with Wakey last night, next week could be tricky following the England v France game, especially if our rep players back up.

It would be very surprising if Wigan didn't win the league now, Wire wont make up 4 points while they are chasing the cup as well, and Saints will have no chance of doing the same with 6 to make up.

Good to see 3 Lancashire (old lancashire) teams at the top though!
