Otherwise known as "trying any trick in the book to get out of a fair punishment" rather than accepting a ruling that even most Saints fans think was justifiable. It's frivolous by any proper definition of the word other than the one as presented by the RFL. The whole thing is becoming a joke.
There is a ridiculous "RFL against Saints" narrative going on amongst many Saints fans. The truth is that Saints are getting away with constantly pushing the boundaries in a way few, if any, others are and I can tell you, as a Wigan fan, it's becoming unpalatable.
Maybe Saints are in the right and we, as a club, should be following suit more aggressively. I wonder how long it would be before the RFL invented some other ruling and implemented it before it became part of the actual rules if we did? Maybe I'm being paranoid. Surely they'd never do that, would they?
