Exactly. I know some are throwing it back at Wellens over Asiata but he made those comments after the MRP had met. Watson was putting pressure on the panel before it even met. He also got the wrong player as he blamed Delaney. That for me is not right and I feel he is trying to deflect attention from yet another loss, the same way that Rowley did after the Salford game.
For all those fans sarcastically saying its a conspiracy and saying that Saints are always the victims may find that this will galvanise Saints.
After the SF loss and all the fall out from it Wellens said the players couldn't wait to play the next game. Admittedly we only just beat Leeds but we were down to the bare bones and that was a game we could easily have lost. This is creating a "them and us" mentality which we will thrive off.
Incidentally someone with way more time on their hands than me has looked into the number of charges that have led to bans and Saints are out on their own as the leaders so the stats back up that we have been punished more severely whether people feel thats warranted or not.
I do feel that we have cleaned up our discipline of late as there were times when we were getting it badly wrong.
