It would be harsh for Bowen to be blamed for conceding the 6 points. In that rain the ball would have been like a bar of soap. It's a bit like the goalkeeper issue in football - no one takes much issue when an outfield player messes up but if a goalkeeper makes one mistake they get slaughtered for it.Bowen has more of an excuse for losing the ball than Farrell does as it's hard to protect the ball when you're trying to catch it. Also in that rain even if you have a good firm grip on the ball a good tackle can make the ball slip out and it was a good tackle.
The biggest fault in the build up to that try was a slow defence not putting any pressure on the kicker and allowing him to get as much height and distance as he wanted.
