Agree all these loopholes/non fed in regards to the quota are a load of crap and its just an easy quick fix for clubs instead of focusing on the long term and giving home grown players a chance. I really dont like the amount of overseas players Wigan has, yes we have a great youth policy one of the best in the league but we currently have 6 plus a rumoured recruit of Lauaki (who is the exact type of overseas player which I want us to avoid. He is no better than any second row we produce as home grown players who could go on to represent England.) I wouldnt like to choose 3 from Carmont, Richards, Leuluai, Finch and Lima though (Roberts is one I would definately get rid of)

Anyone think Lee Smith would be worth a shout at centre? Hes rumoured to be leaving Leeds and I wouldnt mind him at all.

Why? Young english back, can cover wing and fullback aswell, harry sunderland trophy winner, better than any centre currently at our club other than carmont.

Andy has said it for me. Gawd knows what they did to him down south but the lad's not reet. If a player isn't good enough for Leeds he certainly isn't good enough for Wigan.

It's because he's currently a pudding he could be good for Wigan (in terms of cap space). We'd be on another Karl Pryce though as to whether he could turn it around and become a good player that he was before.
