| Oh Conroy there is so much wrong with your response. You have packed it with so many lies i really can't be bothered to address them all.
I like your bit about how places like Honduras and Nigeria have heard of Wigan Athletic because they had some players from there. I know where Havana is because i once bought a cigar at a wedding reception. Here is one for you, i know where abouts in Copenhagen the little mermaid is because ive had my photo next to it. I never give it a second thought though.

I never mentioned 2nd thoughts but it's a reality that if you mention the word Wigan in those places you are more likely to hear the word Athletic than Warriors. More people in those places will have wathed a single FA cup final than 8 CC finals.
I have no horse in this race though so would be interested in what you thought were lies.

| Struggling to quote here for some reason....
The hatred is pathetic I'll be honest. The 85 comments effected about 1500 people but it's almost a right of passage now to hate the rugby. Most claim to hate the sport but then follow saints. The same people call anyone from Wigan that doesn't support Latics.
They call people who reference Latics crowds but analyse every rugby crowd and claim they're made up.

I know. Even a supposed moderator called "Egg" on Cockney latic told me to F**k off. At least on here, we act in a more adult manner and dont get offended when someone has a different view.

| Big talk of administration over on social media. Not sure how true it is, but I don't have the energy for it again.
Those on here that know me will know I was close to it all going on last time and I wouldn't wish it on any fan of any club.
Not sure the stadium is a good buy for WRL, but I don't think we actually need to buy it. The council would just move us in if Latics went pop.

| I was reading rumours Mal Brannigan and whoever else running the club can’t even get hold of the owners. I’m sure all sorts of rumours will go around but you’d have hoped Talal could find some time to give an update of some sort. He’s been an embarrassment from day one for me. He clearly loves to be thought of as some sort of hero but when the going’s got tough, he’s been missing in action. **Edit** I read he’s just commented that everything will be ok but there will be challenges to come. He’s at least come out of hiding. I suggest he changes the colour of the seats pronto to get back on side.
Administration this time could well be fatal. We have no players of any note to shift on. Last time we got about 20% of some players true values but the sales of Robinson, Moore, Gelhardt etc helped keep things afloat. This time if we got 20% or so of the players values, you’re talking the biggest sale being maybe to scrape together a few hundred grand for Callum Lang and there isn’t much else. Euxton was a help last time and there isn’t that to fall back on. Its an absolute shambles and it will impact on the rugby club.

Exactly, hence my question as to where does this leave the Warriors? They pay £55k to use the DW, but if that money doesnt go to the stadium staff, groundsmen etc, there'll be no stadium made ready and no pitch prepared.
Perhaps its time for the stadium to be sold to a separate company so that both sporting clubs can pay £55K a game to use it, and it could also be used for events/concerts to raise additional revenue. Football/rugby fixtures alone would raise £2m a year, and at least that money would go towards the wages of the DW staff and any upkeep.

It’s a concern. They managed to keep things ticking last time just about but if it happened again, I’m not sure they could for an extended period. We were much deeper in to the season last time as well and then had the off season, where we wouldn’t be using the stadium anyway. This time we’ve played 2 games, so I certainly wouldn’t be wishing administration on the football club if I were a rugby fan, not even if there is ill feeling there.
Longer term we’ll see what happens. The stadium is too big for both clubs 95% of the year. They’ve never had things like concerts on and I always wonder if that’s because of how bad the pitch is. It gets rough anyway, so to start putting concerts on might be a no go.

| The major difference in admin now and last time would be that fans are allowed in the ground so there would be SOME income.
Not sure how things work, but the stadium staff such as bar staff, stewards and cleaners etc are all employed by Sodexo and not the football club. I presume the stadium staff they refer to are the likes of marketing for the club, ticket office.
From what I'm led to believe, it won't be administration but there are certainly problems with how they choose to manage the money and that needs to change otherwise this will be an even more regular occurrence.
