Possibly, though they did well enough while Brett was out injured. Depends who they get to replace Brown, I guess.

Sign Frank Pritchard up now, he's just awesome.

Watching the NRL Tigers vs Panthers game at the moment, he's just tearing them apart. Like Puletua but fitter.

Undoubtedly a huge loss for Huddersfield to lose Brown, just like Madge at Wigan he's taken a group of players who previously weren't competing for prizes to a team who is. The biggest task for the Giants is to find an adequate replacement, someone who can again take the club forward, otherwise all Brown's good work could be undone.

What is the deal with the Storm players?

I assume, seeing they roughly have the same squad as last year, that they still are over the SC?

They can’t collect any points again this season so do they have until then to sort out their squad for next season? H

Unless there are some major pay cuts I’m guess they won’t be able to keep all their squad at the club? So I assume we are going to find out what players are gonna be allowed or forced to leave next season very soon.

I’d hope if some realistic targets like Finch or Lima are informed they aren’t gonna be offered a new deal at the Storm we can look at them as possible signings for this season?

They aren't allowed to participate in next season unless they are down under the cap.

This morning on the Storm v Warriors game the commentators stated he was aware of 3 clubs who were chasing the signature of Jeff Lima, would be more than happy if one of them was us.

How does that work btw? Although the sum of all the players contracts puts the Storm over the cap can this be used as justifiable reason to break contracts between individual players and the club? How would the club justify renegotiating some with some but not others?

Surly each player, the ones with legitimate salaries anyway, could argue that they've signed a contract to be paid x amount over so many seasons and it’s not their fault the club have done what they’ve done.

I we are chasing a prop for next year, then looking at the performances of are frontrow this year, Coley's been magnificent and along with the youngsters who'll no doubt get new contracts it leaves only Fielden and Feka.

While Fielden has been much improved this year, his habit of silly mistakes at vital times in the game is still evident as is his indiscipline at times. Even with a reduced contract I feel he's not worth it, if we want to continue the development of are younger players then resigning him as well as new signings doesn't leave room for there development.

Feka while he's started the season weak his form in the last few weeks has been good, no doubt he's getting used to his new leaner self. If he can kick on this year and continue to improve a well as accepting a cheaper contract then I'd keep him.

Of course if were chasing forwards and Madge does some how manage to persuade Lima, Blair or Luke Bailey to join Wigan, then I'd be quite willing to let both Feka and Fielden go. It all depends on who we sign as to who we then decide to keep.
