This is not a whinge or me wanting to be overly critical or negative but we haven’t been particularly good in any of the games and have a lot of improvement in us, particularly in terms of errors and penalties. There have been a few very poor defensive efforts.

I’m thoroughly enjoying the new style of play it we’ve still a long way to go. Last year we’d have won or lost that at about 12 - 13 and anyone watching would have been bored stiff.

Just watched the highlights on Sky and the knock ons from Miski on the first two tries just seemed like he was beat in the air, unlucky really both ended the same way. Hopefully a couple of games for both in the reserves gives them match fitness and the confidence to come back in to the first team.

Need to stay positive really. Still a massive attacking effort from the lads, defence was bad from the highlights but we know how well we can defend usually. We won a tight game with a changed side against a improving Toulouse. We move on.

Powell said about Wires performance last night that it had been coming and that is how tonight feels for us. I’ve been chuffed with 90% of what we’ve done so far but there is 10% that needs attention. We’ve had a lapse in every game so far and out errors and penalty stats have been pretty poor.

It’s 4 from 4 and that’s great but there is so much improvement in us and we will absolutely need to find it. It’s a real shame that the guys getting their chances tonight (Miski, Smith etc) sounded like the ones that struggled the most.

Watching the highlights and there's some really soft one on one defence on show, eminently fixable and needs to be for next week
