My unimportant two penneth on this is why are people so bothered about criticising this group of people? Smacks of petty attitudes, I won't say jealousy, there really isn't anything to be jealous of. If someone wants to go to the game and graffiti somewhere (and this Brigante group haven't told them to) then you can only blame the individual who actually went through with it. It's like terrorism, you can plan for the group of nutjobs but the one loose-cannon with an agenda is the most dangerous! Real mountain and mole hill scenario this, people need to get a grip and go to the game to enjoy what's on the field.

Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go

Pretty much agree with this.

I used to laugh at the "Brigantes" in the sense that they thought they were somehow "better" fans then the majority. It really did amuse me. The only thing "Ultra" about them was that drum which is ultra annoying - If that drum was near me at a game it would be a broken drum by the end, but that's more to do with manners rather than anything else.

However, overall they were/are harmless enough and are free to do enjoy themselves I guess. If the "Brigante" thing becomes an umbrella under which idiots can flourish, then it needs to be addressed.

There is no room for this in RL and especially at Wigan RL.

So you would go and break someones drum? How lovely of you. Is that not worse than singing, waving flags and jumping around? I would say it is. Manners? You are the one wanting to break someone elses drum.

There is no room for one idiot to ruin it for everyone else is what you mean. There is room for a group trying to improve the atmosphere, it has already been proven.

Then again you could find some negativity in world peace.

Can I just play devil's advocate and ask, is spray painting a logo on a bog wall any worse than plastering it with Brigantes stickers?

Not in my eyes. But I suppose the stickers are easier to remove.

I'm pleased to hear that as, I'm sure you know as well as me that it's absolute tripe.

I have heard it implied though, admitedly by some of the "younger" people i.e. kids

Orrell Lad, of course you're right to ask that question.

Whilst both can be seen as a type of vandalism, many companies do use sticker campaigns to advertise themselves, stickers are very simple to clean, sliding off with relative ease using alcohol based solvents, and these can be removed from all surfaces. Spray Paint, on the other hand is undeniably not common place advertising, and does not clean of surfaces without a considerable amount of chemical and physical intervention. There are some surfaces (i.e. Concrete) which spray paint will not come off full stop.

I would break that drum with no qualms whatsoever. I attend a rugby ground to watch RL, not for my ears to be subjected to mindless chinese torture. If I wanted to hear drums I would go to a rock concert.

What gives the "drummer" the right to think that he should be allowed to ruin some peoples night?

And in most places "stickers" are illegal.

Warrington led 16-2 in Saturday's Grand Final, but their joy was short-lived as Wigan roared back to win the Super League title and extend the Wire's 58-year wait to be champions

Fair enough, but the Brigantes aren't a company that require any form of advertising. They are a group of fans. It just seems like a 'we woz ere' statement, which doesn't sit comfortably with me as a Wigan fan.

So you are moaning at us about being well.... a list of things that we are not, added to that many things you are clearly uneducated about. Why comment on things you have no idea about?? And yet you are happy to break someone elses possesions. I dare you to try :D you would be chucked out of the stadium before any Brigante for doing that I suspect.

I don't like you shouting so much during the game, I will just punch you? Is that ok? No, I don't think it is.
Some kid is blowing a horn, I will snap it in half.... The tannoy is too loud, I will just break the speakers.

If a drum can ruin your night I suggest you need help pal.

Oh BrettKenny you crack me up. I await a reply, I can almost be sure of humour.
