Salford will be well up for the game in the hope of getting a home play off tie. They might not be quite as desperate as they would've been had they needed a win to secure a spot in the play offs at all but they'll be far from pushovers.

I'm glad in a way that we need the win for the shield. It should lead to a far better atmosphere in the ground (although granted probably not as good as Friday would've been).

HKR will have already named their squad by Thursday, so there wont be that much scope for them to play their reserves if we win.

Even if we beat Salford Hull KR will likely still need to win on Friday to keep hold of 2nd place.

Yes, thats true, its odd that sky have moved the games to different days as it takes some of the drama out of it?

I think we (salford) will be resting players, I really doubt sneyd will play for a start as this new rule came in this year a player has to play amount of minutes, says in this article https://www.seriousaboutrl.com/salford- ... les-93764/ With us not having a massive squad and very little time to rest this week I think rowley will rest half the squad. I be very suprise if you see lafai, Mcdonald, sneyd singleton & wright in the 13 on Thursday

The question is would you rather play at home or away in the playoffs? A win at Wigan guarantees a home tie whereas you are relying on Leigh beating Saints to guarantee home advantage if you lose at Wigan. It is an interesting conundrum.
