You think wrong. When Powell came in he created a major rift in a bit of an attempt to assert dominance.

King was on one side of that rift.

What you mean is, a new coach came in, told a bunch of underachieving egos that they had to pull their fingers out or else, and a group of those egos basically saw their arses and behaved like petulant children and have now been moved on, leading to a massive upturn in results.

So it wasn't really a rift, just a fella doing his job correctly.

Not sure how it was said but coming from Powell I can imagine it was not the nicest of telling off. Who really is he to tell anyone only thing he’s won is the LL shield and chocked in a final

I don’t disagree, however the post I was responding to was saying there isn’t any issue between Powell and King…I don’t believe that is the case.

Oh, I agree that it's highly unlikely King will ever play for us while Powell is in charge.

Just a matter of how Wire manage to get the best deal for him.

So a coach can only have authority over a squad if he's been previously successful?

Funny to think that the best deal might still be a financial hit for Warrington.
