London Euston return is £100 per person plus whatever it costs to get the tube. As a family of four you just wouldn't. At best you'd take the knock and drive yourself.
I know it's tradition to head down to London for the cup final but I'm not sure the benefits outweigh the (quite literal) costs. It's a Northern sport - wouldn't it be easier to play it closer to home? Having said that the only option I can think of would be Anfield - assuming we want to aim higher than the capacity of the Etihad.

The Etihad is slightly bigger anyway but I’d always want the final to be at a venue with a sense of it being a day out or a weekend away. To put it on the doorstep could really go either way. I’ve long thought (probably since our game there in 2004) that the final should go full time to Cardiff. The stadium is just an outstanding venue for a team making a final and for all fans, neutrals included. The whole City is buzzing on match day, everyone is within walking distance of the ground and it just has a great feel about it. Wembley is old hat for me. It is in an area that’s difficult to get to, it’s not the best area for bars/restaurants etc and the atmosphere isn’t like the old place. It wouldn’t ease travel costs but it’s more appealing in most other aspects for me.
We have 7 of us going down tickets not yet purchased, gonna go down to the Arena in the morning. Best price online at the moment seems to be £45 per adult (upper corner). Will see what the club have before making a purchase, also want coach tickets from Robin Park which the club are advertising at £50 each.

Ah thought Etihad was 45kish but you're right it's 55.
We've sold over 4k now. I don't think Il be far off with my guess of 12k from Wigan including tickets bought direct from the RFL.

Not many spaces left on Ticket Master is it 4,000 tickets that the club have sold not counting Ticket Master?? Most of the seats sold behind the sticks.
The RFL ticket map implies that most of the ground is sold out/unavailable but that will include the allocations to the two clubs and possibly certain sections of the ground won't be opened unless there is enough demand.
Looks like they are selling every other row in a lot of other sections (a la Covid days), not sure if it's the same with clubs' allocations.

Not sure, will ask in morning. From what I can see there's three avenues to purchase.
Physical tickets through Robin Park. Online (Ticketmaster) via the link on the Wigan site. Online (RFL) although only very few available that I could see yesterday.
EDIT - just looked on the RFL site and whilst they have released more seats they do seem to be segregated (every other row).
