I'm not saying they won't be selected. I'm saying that, depending on Saints' situation at the time and injuries etc, they won't all play.

I'll be interested to see, if Saints have less than 6 involved for England, whether they'll allow Paasi or Mata'utia, for example, to represent the All Stars.

I have no idea what the rules are for late additions into the AS squad, but it seems pretty obvious that their squad has been done/based around the group Wane has picked. If Wane doesn't name his team until a few days before you can't expect Hanley to just go out and start rounding everyone else up who's not selected. It defeats the object of naming a squad.

No problem resting players against Cas. They can take a few on the chin.

Internationally, Saints players only turn up when there is a big tournament on. Friendlies are below them.

Could be a tough game against Wire next week before the semi, wonder how Peet will approach it will he keep some of his powder dry and rest a few players.

Nothing really stopping them and at the moment they’re that much better than everyone they can afford to take the knee, although if it was me I’d have personally played a few more first teamers last night and rested them against Salford and tried to win both games?

Agree with this. I think they've earned the right over the last few seasons to rest players and still know they'll be competitive. When it comes to us, I'm still wary that we're a confidence based side and that confidence can easily be shattered.

Looks like Wire are finding a bit of form at last, hopefully we can get a decent lead against Salford early and give a few people shorter minutes than usual, with a short turnaround recovery is going to be vital next week.
