Great performance, great result against a tough Wakey side. That will sure put the confidence back up after Good Friday.

Considering I was expecting a tough game, with a Wigan side still a little demoralised after Good Friday, I was more than delighted with that. Though, if I'd been a neutral, I'd have been disappointed with Wakey's total capitulation. I know they were getting blown away out wide, but they only looked half-interested for long periods in the second half.

By the way, was anyone else scratching their head over Ellis's man-of-the-match? He did okay, but surely it should have gone to Singleton?

The first 15 minutes or so was a replica of the recent CC tie.
We had hardly any ball and Wakefield played some decent stuff with a good kicking game.

Overall a good bounce back from GF.
Good to see Singleton rewarded for his hard work.

Hopefully no major issues with French?

Peet confirmed French was withdrawn just to ensure they didn’t overwork him.

Yes Ellis was a real odd choice.
I thought Singleton was mom.
As you say Wakefield disappointing but we scored some top tries.
A good response and another example where mentally we are much stronger than last year.

We are so much better then last season. I’m not too down on days like Friday because I think they’re needed in many ways just to keep nudging the powers that be that there is still a lot of work to do and a lot of good decisions to be made to get us where we want to be.

The season is a least enjoyable.

thought the second try for field was nothing short of spectacular the way he changed his speed from fast to lightning, class.

Singleton deserved the tries, great bounce back from Friday, the team are moving along nicely and so much better than last year.
exciting season ahead I think.

It's safe to say we are probably the third best at team in the league at present. To push into the top two, we need discipline to improve massively and our forwards to be relentless when up against the Saints/Catalan pack. I can't see us doing that this year, I think we need another prop and sizeable back rower to do that.

Agree with all that. Although the atmosphere at the ground was low-key (perhaps not surprising after the Saints game), it was an enjoyable and entertaining performance, whatever you say about the opposition. It would be so good if we could keep both Field and French. BF doesn't look a natural winger, but if we could play him on the right flank when Marshall comes back...

I feel enthused enough to want to go to away games, put it that way. And I haven't felt like that for a while.

I’m in the same boat.
Already planning the Wire game and of course the SF.

Players with the sheer pace of Field and French come along so infrequently I’m going to enjoy them as much as I can.
