Yes, because it was a semi final. Gildart came back out on the pitch and played after Ferres had broken his back, should we let Ferres off as well?

Powell didn't get off, he was charged with a grade B offence. No one knows if Tasi's length of injury was caused by the tackle or playing on - hence why your original post is essentially peeing in the wind.

Haven't seen it back, so haven't changed my opinion.

You could tell at the time that the lad was hurt, that was never my point. All I said was that I saw the tackle as going for his legs when he was still making forward progress. This will happen in every game this weekend, numerous times over.

Obviously wish him a swift recovery, and if the tackle is different to how I remember it, then happy to admit that I was wrong.

Having watched it a few times grade b is about right. Live and first few times I thought it was ok and I still think it was not intentionally dangerous. The tackled player moves his leg up it causes contact at knee level its not graded higher because he hits at behind where the knee bends he then twists after impact. Powels already launched himself but the rules put duty of care in defenders actions. On report was right maybe even a yellow. I'm suprised he didnt fight it to be honest although he probably deserved a game.

Marwan Koucash has taken to Twitter to publicly criticise Sam Powell and said it was a dirty tackle that has caused the injury. I like Koukash but he does tend to air his dirty laundry in public.
