Ainscough
Tommy
Riddell

Thought Fielden(apart from a couple of errors) and Richards were decent as well

Ainscough is going to be one cracking player there's no doubt about that. Can make something out of nothing which is fantastic

Tommy was a threat as usual and did a great pass to Ainscough for the first try but I would just like to see him try and take control of the game a bit more. I noticed Pat did near enough all the kicking when we were in our own half and I would like to see Tommy do more of it especially from our 40. Still think he's a very good 7 but a top class 9

Riddell is showing great improvement which is fantastic to see. Was amazed when he was the one who was back to put the ball out for a drop out off a McGuire kick

Jonh,
Watch the game again, I have and your correct, Hock had a nightmare.

Plus you've picked the same 1,2,3 as me.

The first Leeds try is dubious, the 3rd was a definite forward from Kirke, a Wigan player does not touch the ball otherwise Smith would have waved play on.

I disagree Rogues. Whilst it's true he had a couple moments of madness, for the most part it was because he was trying to force the issue and make something happen, albeit in positions he shouldn't have. Also two of his 'errors' should have been Wigan penalties as the ball was clearly reefed...how it was missed is beyond me! On the plus side he didn't react, even though he had every right to...something that shows a possible maturing?

Anyway, on to the positives. In a severely beaten pack, and despite being targetted all night by 3 and sometimes 4 ( ) defenders he still managed to cross the whitewash twice and always looked a handfull with ball in hand. I also thought he put some terrific work in in defence (don't think he missed a tackle, although I haven't seen the stats).

Good game...possibly not by his standards. Nightmare...not in a million years!

the thing with hock is that when things come off for him he is classed as a world beater when it doesn't people say he was garbage. the plain fact is he is the only forward we have who is prepared to go forward, he is the only forward we have that other teams fear or respect. he is always trying to make things happen and i respect him for that. we have a crap pack with him in it as showed last night, god knows what it would be like without him.
Great game of rugby league. Fantastic atmosphere, Wigan were breathtaking and dominant in all areas for the first 25 minutes, coupled with us making alot of dumb mistakes, then fortunately they brought McIlorum on which helped us back into the game. I thought some of the tries we scored to get us within two we're out of this world stuff. Towards the end we had to force it a little and we had a few things go wrong, i.e Monas kick on the first for King and Solomona going off who was causing havoc. Wigan were clinical in their eventual execution of us. Proud of Wire today and gave us a little glimpse to the future. Silverwood was awful as per, but I expect no less. Tomkins is a world class player and by far the best english player in SL. Wigan are a champion side and would be a worthy winner of taking our title as challenge cup. Good luck over the next month and a bit.
1. Shaun Ainscough - Good game apart from the miss kick for Donalds try

2. Mark Riddell - Good distribution and a superb turn of pace to cover the McGuire kick
3. Thomas Leuluai - Brilliant pass for Ainscoughs try, but like Tomkins played without the ball.

I actually thought Coley had another half decent game.
Thought they was going to bring gas and air on for him after that

SAINTS THE ORIGINAL AND PERENNIAL CHEATS

For sale full Saints kit (circa 1989). Shirts in pristine condition, but shorts badly soiled.

For 27 - 0 you get a trophy
For 75 - 0 you get sod all.

Wigan had eight in a row
Saints have five in a row

Ainscough
Coley
Tommy

It's brilliant to finally see a winger get possession in his position and then dominate it. I thought Coley made the most yards for all the forwards, they found him quite hard to deal with and Tommy did pretty well overall, especially the pass to Ainscough.
