This may go some way to explaining what the problem is that's currently preventing the Wigan team from achieving its potential.

I don't mean it's down to an individual, but if there's an attitude in the team that 'we are doing enough and simply will not take criticism', maybe rooting out a few individuals and making an example of them will get the others to sit up and take note.

It sounds to me like a sea-change in the culture at Wigan - both among the coaches and the playing personnel - is now called for. The Romans had a method for this. It was called 'decimation' - one in every ten were executed. It usually worked.

Don't know what these guys expect, its time to get real.

As Bilks said in his Quins match preview, if we lose on Saturday it will be our worst start in 43 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Apparently Saturday morning the players were training at 6.30am.

Then after Nobby went round to every single players house for a face to face talk

For me, IL would get my wholehearted support if he identified rotten apples and rooted them out.TBH nothing would please me more than to see the owners and leaders take a grip on this club by the throat. I wouldn't care if it led to our highest paid players sitting out the remainder of their contracts in the reserves, just give me a bunch of players that want to sweat blood for this club.

The bit that bothers me is the line "I have to recognise and put right what has gone wrong since the start of the season . So it seems last year there was no problem then . I still remember walking through cardiff after the saints game with the song your worse than castleford being shouted from all directions , and we are worse than castleford again .

Well if it was me he would not be here now thats a disgrace it show no respect for the Coach,Owner or the Club i just hope it was not a wigan lad

I have not booed and never will, but this statement really does worry me.

If they had all played with pride and tried their best, then the criticism would be nowhere near as harsh, Noble does not seem to understand this.
When we had the losing streak and nearly went down, did we not get behind the team even when they lost as long as the effort was there!
Together coupled with the tactical errors at times I really now wonder even more if he has lost the plot and is upto the task in hand.

If he was issuing statements like `the players understand and have taken it on the chin and all know what needs to be done, or I have taken to one side the players who are letting us down` then I might be more optomistic.

The coach needs to instill the right mental winning attitude, pride in the club and themselves, humility in defeat, team work and positivity!

My personal opinion is that from the showing so far Noble is failing to do this and this article just reinforces my view.

I will as always continue to support the team both by attending matches and vocally with a passion!
