This may go some way to explaining what the problem is that's currently preventing the Wigan team from achieving its potential.
I don't mean it's down to an individual, but if there's an attitude in the team that 'we are doing enough and simply will not take criticism', maybe rooting out a few individuals and making an example of them will get the others to sit up and take note.
This also was done after the Huddersfield game last year, and though some fans didn't like it, it appeared to pay dividends.
Time for such drastic action again?
It sounds to me like a sea-change in the culture at Wigan - both among the coaches and the playing personnel - is now called for. The Romans had a method for this. It was called 'decimation' - one in every ten were executed. It usually worked.
