[fimg=][/fimg]I was one of his biggest fans before he signed for Wigan, however I think he has so far been underwhelming.

Tonight I thought he was poor but some basics of the game I think he seemed to struggle with mainly which were attitudinal.

Faz broke the line 4 or 5 times and Wardle was nowhere to be seen. If anyone watched the Sky coverage Peet revealed his game plan was work off the ball, which I felt was poor tonight from him.

King I personally don’t think is as naturally talented as Wardle but he looks to have got his head down, gritted his teeth and is making a real go of his time at Wigan.

Wardle for me looks to be coasting a bit.

Is that player on a long term deal Vs player on loan?

You mean Faz broke the line and Wardle was nowhere to be seen. Yes I agree King has generally been the most impressive so far - mainly because he works harder.

Kings getting better, I'll give him that. A couple of bad drops (from memory & not watched it back), but overall positive.

I still think we'd be better served getting a big South Sea Islander in for 2024 tho.

It’s been up and down but I like Wardle. He’s a ‘moments’ player, whereas King is an absolute grafter. They’re polar opposites really but I like the pair of them. I do think King has been the more valuable of the two so far and you can tell he’s on edge and wants a full time deal. I agree that Wardle needs to up his workrate but he’s settling in and he will get better. He’s an upgrade on Bibby or Isa at the very least.

What an odd thing to say. Why does it matter where the player comes from…and what is the obsession with overseas players.

Remember you calling for us to sign Atoni for next year…he’s been useless so far this year for Wakefield.

What’s the obsession with “Islanders”.

If I were looking at 2024, I’d be trying to get in Tom Davies (who is off contract), with a view to moving French to fullback, Field to 6 and I’d be offering Mason Lino a deal to replace Cust. We could then go Field at 1 or 6, French at 1 or 2, Lino at 6,7 or 9 and Smith starts with the 7 shirt (but is under pressure from Lino).

The main focus though will need to be on the pack. Mago is surely a goner, KPP is off, Isa looks close to the end, Singleton is no better than a back up option, Cooper isn’t playing at his best and Ellis is just summed up by shrugging your shoulders. He looks like he needs a fire work up his backside.

There could well be a pretty big turnover for next year looking at things at the moment.

One of our best players this year yes.

What does an Islander bring? Name a player, not a nationality.
