After looking though Bilkos results archive There as been at least 10 Wigan players in the last 40 years that have performed well but have been bad apples.
1 Kelvin Skerrett
2 Barrie Mcdermott
3 Terry Newton
4 Ricky Bibey
5 Micky Mac
6 Zak Hardacker
7 Bobbie Goulding
8 Gareth Hock
9 Green Vigo
10 Joel Tomkins


All the above had great potential but had a a bad side of doing bad things in the game or after there careers ended

I've no idea why you've put Skerrett in there ? Kelvin didn't have 'potential' either. He made it to the very top !

I agree some were troubled to say the least but they did get to the top playing for England/GB winning finals etc. Maybe not for long enough though.

I didnt add any,just answering that they still made it to the top regardless.
As others have pointed out not all of them were troubled.

I'm guessing Barrie falls into the doing bad stuff after his career finished category?
But on that basis, how come you've left Terry O'Connor out?
