Wigan at 24.4, followed by Leeds and Saints and that's despite having Tommy Leuluai who is the oldest player.

I do worry we are a little too young to be in the mix come the business end of the season but even at such a young age the squad has bags of experience.

It’s another unknown amongst many we have for next year.

Agree on both points.

I think our senior players, probably aren't the forces that you need to win the league. I look at how much of an impact Roby has on Saints, or the impact Sinfield & Peacock added to the great Leeds side. I can't see Tommy, or even Isa being at that level.

Personally I think we needed one or two in that 28 - 31 bracket. Look at the impact Coote and Naiqama had at Saints. Both in their prime, but were also very experienced players who could hit the ground running.

To be fair to Tommy & Isa, they haven’t had the luxury of a dominant pack to play alongside.

I take nothing away from Roby but more often than not he has been on the front foot following good yards from the likes of Alex Walmsley who adds so much to that Saints side.

Despite our youth, if Mago & Ellis help to provide a decent platform then I think we could challenge next season and the likes of Isa & Tommy should benefit.

I do not think we lack experince - Farrell, Bateman, Hardaker, Tommy, Powell, Isa, Singleton are all very experienced players and have played in finals/play-offs we should have enough leadership there plus some of the younger players have more than a reasonable share of experience now as well. The apparent youth of the squad is a bit misleading on paper.

We also have more than enough experience in the club with Wane around as well - if anyone can provide the guidence needed surely he is up there!

Roby debuted for Saints nearly a decade before Walmsley. He is/was one of the best SL players of all time regardless of who else was playing alongside him. Leuluai and Isa have been good servants to us but don't belong anywhere near the same bracket frankly.

Can’t disagree with that.

I'm standing by for this to be used as to why we get beat by Cas or Wakefield, yet Saints and Leeds will stick 40 points on them.

Age has little relevance - its the standard of coaching and skill level that counts.

Completely agree with this.

Speaking of age, is Peet one of the youngest head coaches around? Not necessarily a bad thing either.
