Sid Abrams - Help please?/OT : Sat Mar 07, 2009 8:31 am  

Not long ago I discovered that this guy is either my Grandma's Cousin, or is my Great Uncle - still trying to figure out which?

Apart from knowing that he scored the 1st Rugby League try at Wembly, I know little else.

Anyone got any info/links etc???

Tell him he'll have to get his mum to clean his boots when he does, or better still get that St.Helens fella to get some work done and clean them for him.

His Grandaughter used to live next door to me.

His family live near the Lord Nelson in Hindley.

Sid (I think it was Spelt Syd TBH) lived his last few years in Hindley. A Friend of mine at school was Friends/Related to his family and a couple of times whilst at Park High we went to his house. He was in his 80's then but he could still tell you all the old tales.

He was a really good bloke to talk to!
