Saracens Chief Exec : Wed Feb 11, 2009 9:39 pm
Just been scouting a few sports forums and came accross this one. The Saracens RU chief exec posting openly on an independent forum answering questions. Pretty impressed by his efforts I have to say.
As background Eddie Jones is their current (high profile) coach.
Just as an example of his open style.
The fears and predictions of doom expressed in various postings today are completely understandable but, in the interests of open communication, it is worth making a few points:
1. Eddie Jones has not been forced out of the club. His decision to step down at the end of the season has been entirely his decision, and he should be respected for that.
2. The South African shareholders did not prompt my appointment as CEO,nor Mark Sinderberry's resignation, nor Eddie Jones' resignation. In fact, they have invested a considerable sum of money into the future of the club, and made absolutely no demands of any nature at all - I give you my word on that... no demands of any nature. They are benefactors being represented as invaders. vitriol in some posts is completely unjustified.

1. Could you imagine IL doing that (on here?)
2. Would you welcome it if he did, or would it not be a good move?
