hi myself and my son are coming to over to lockers testamonial game from hull. we go to as many games as we can but i usually drive . which is the nearest train station to the dw any good places to stay over the night thanks.

Wigan North Western is closer, by about 10 yards. There is a Mercure hotel just in town there.

The Brocket which is a Wetherspoon hotel is easy walking distance from both the Station and the Stadium. It is also a popular watering hole with many a rugby fan

I agree with Dave

Both train stations are across the road from each other if your coming from hull you might change at manc so will be going to the old one

The two Stations are Wigan North West and Wigan Wallgate, either will do as they are about 100 yards apart (across the road). The Brocket is ideal for you.

Yeah was in Wigan on Monday and had a chuckle to myself at the proximity of the 2 stations........Whats the crack with that then ?

One [North Western] has several lines, including the West Coast Main Line while the other [Wallgate] has the one line Manchester-Southport.
