In your opinion. What about those who might think up to £50 a ticket in the midst of the biggest depression since, well, the depression is a bit steep? As for the RFL's wonderful marketing, playing England v France in a superleague desert like Doncaster seems strange to me if crowd numbers are all that matters. Add to that the fact that for some reason the rugby league diehards up here - who are the actual people that keep the game afloat - have to make a 400 mile round trip to see the first match between the only 2 teams worth watching and IMO the RFL's marketing could well be questioned.

As for me, I won't be going to the DW because I like to do it prawn sandwich style. A 2.30 kick off entails a lunch rather than an evening meal, so no thanks. If the game had been an evening KO (RFL Marketing?) I would have gone.

Just thought I'd show a different point of view....

Of course you could pay £20 if you think £50 is a bit steep? Compared to other sports (Football, Cricket and Union) £20 or even £50 for a test match is excellent value.

I would be surprised if there are any £20 seats unsold. And I disagree that £50 to watch a 1 sided battering (please let me be wrong!) is "excellent" value.

Why couldn't the RFL have taken the risk of choosing much bigger stadia with a 50% reduction in prices?

There are still £20 tickets remaining. And the half 2 kick off allows the game to be shown live on terrestrial TV, advertising and exposure that, quite literally, money can't buy.

Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good

sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league

Yes but it will go to waste with empty seats and England getting tonked by aus.
