Maybe Lee Smith is now thinking the same thing? Though I'd be very surprised if Wigan went for him. He's a good player, and IL is supposedly a fan, but where in the backs would be play him? We've got good, healthy competition for all places now. As someone else said, I'd sooner we got a crumping front-rower

Nah they don't look like signing any good players going off the tripe they've brought in so far!

apparently big lesley could be on his way to league as gloucester haven't offered him a new deal. i for one would have him in a flash, but seems wakefield are the ones chasing him. Thoughts ???

He might go and play for Noble's team again.
They are recruiting heavily and with Raynor only on a short term contract for "some reason" Big Les might find a new club easier than he thought.

Are Wakey the new Hull KR? They've got no cash, no ground, no guarantee at all that they'll get another franchise (far from it, or so the clever money says) and yet all of a sudden they're flashing the cash on new signings. Very curious.

As for the Volcano - is he still erupting? I've heard nothing of him during his Union adventure.

He started like a house on fire scoring for fun and playing for England. Once he stopped getting picked for England his name wasn't being mentioned as much, coupled with the fact that he spent quite a while out injured/in court.

He's back playing again now though.

Big Les was an awesome player but we simply don't need him. We've got Richards, Roberts, Ainscough, Pryce and Goulding all capable of doing a job on the wing and i'm not sure he'd be any better then the majority of them after a few years out of the sport.

He looked very slow on some highlights of Gloucesters game at the weekend.
