Quite.
We could and should have won that.
Missed kicks were costly.

Parata getting injured early doors meant the lads were out on their feet.
Ball retention and avoiding silly offloads are the way forward.

Well played, felt a bit sorry for your lads at the end there. Hull really got out of jail.

We've needed a top kicker for a number of years. We also don't make a lot of ground with penalty kicks to touch. Both of those skills union kickers are decent at. Maybe we should look there for the answer.

Thought Ref was pretty decent too, which should please NB.

Now the logo is in the right place, the away shirt is top notch. Far more vibrant & interesting than black.

Good effort by the boys and we created and converted a few chances and made a few more metres this game. Clearly Hull not at same level as Saints or Catalans so was interesting to see we did better. Dread the Wigan game a bit.
We’re clearly light a few SL standard players and that needs addressing.
As others have said all the best sides including in the Championship have a decent kicker- I don’t think Leyland is consistent enough although to be clear if he wasn’t the best we have he wouldn’t be chosen. If we had not had Norman as kicker in the MPG would we have won? I think the answer is no. It’s that important we can’t keep ducking it. On the plus side we aren’t in Coates or Mocadreki territory and Leyland always looks to improve so...It is though a clear weakness that we need to address in next years recruitment drive. I think Rourke was identified as a decent kicker but of course he’s out for a few months.

Agree. Once I see a snap of supporters wearing them with the logo in the middle of the white I'll be having one....as for a union kicker....alas, with that talent comes defensive frailty. It's simple a case of practicing.....Thurston wasn't a genius kicker without hours of practice. As for touch finders. That's a skill that can be taught to anyone....we should ask the guys at Rosspark to help us there.
Thought we were value for our points and a draw would have been a fair result, but it shows what they boys are capable of. Maybe the rough tests against Sts cats and now Wigan will work in our favour? Harden us up for more winnable games?

I suppose it depends whether the shirts come branded from the factory or some poor sole has to individually print the logo as they are bought.

Actually think we deserved to win that one. Kicking is one thing, but have to say couple of silly offloads when not needed. Last try! Think that was pure lack of experience. Thoughts meadows was excellent as was oli. Disappointed with lovell today for a bloke his size he should be running a lot harder.

Can't fault the effort.

We tried beyond belief. And (predictably) lost.

There was a couple of minutes or so I thought we might actually win. And screamed at the TV when it all went wrong. (That
may be the best we're gonna get this season.)

Wearing the bobble hat with pride tonight!

Wouldn't say predictably lost! Hull are in trouble at the mo so it was a win we should have got, 3 kicks missed!
Let's see what Wigan brings next week, don't think we embarrassed ourselves against saints or dragons let's hope we can get through it unscathed and showing a bit of fight
