Gus Mackay we salute you!!

Apart from the shirt burning, other things that might make the post match event worth paying for:

- Management 'Just A Minute' with topics such as 'How we will get 5,000 fans in 2 seasons', 'What is a match day experience' , 'Why Trailfinders was bad'
- Flan the CEO stall (all proceeds to the academy)
- Players mustard eating competition

Please add.

A month ago I would have said we’d win this but it’s an important game for them, we’ve gone off the boil and, of course, newly promoted Barrow are better than us......which is kinda disappointing....

Evening All. Barrow have been a good team this season despite being newbies as their Championship position testifies. But for your old mate Sammut (our old mate for a handful of minutes before an early red card and then Kung Flu) missing a late penalty, they would have gained a draw at home to Leigh back in June. The wise on here will know that that is not a Leyther gloating, Bongser is a Rugby League man, no boaster, no troll.

They scored 28 points that day and are the only team since to score 20 against Leigh's Scrooge defence - at LSV to boot!

They are one point behind fourth placed Batley, a team that has to visit Leigh this weekend - and one that was nilled by 36 in the reverse fixture earlier in the season. Barrow will not be seeing this game as a dead rubber!

That said, Bongser is right behind you as there are some good coves on this forum and (as well) a win for The Broncos would see Batley gain home advantage in the repeat fixture in the play-off eliminator and then they might clear a banana skin out of Leigh's path.

Nothing is taken for granted by a lifelong Leigh and Bolton supporter - "es aitch one tee 'appens" - as we Northern monkeys say. :)

Not sure about "once more into the breach...." but you may be right BT. However given the last couple of efforts, can't help thinking it might be a little more "cannon to the right of them, cannon to the left of them....". Let's hope we can put this season to bed with a win & move on.

It'll be the excuse for the poor turn out and miserable uptake of the after-party tickets......

It was ERII's expressed wish that Charles should succeed her, that all RL games go ahead as planned and that box sets of Coronation Street be put on Cloud.

She laaaaaaved a good old knees up did our Bet

I see the RFL have binned all games in the UK tomorrow (Friday), with a decision other the rest made later that morning.
Whilst I understand the "9 days of mourning " malarkey, the 21st Century sports administrators and their paymasters at Murdoch Towers will have none of it. .......I can see the Ladies SL grand Final being moved on Sunday week and the rest of the schedule to go as scheduled

Hope nobody planning to go to the game via Haydons Road station as doesn't look like Thameslink running the Sutton to St Albans via Blackfriars route this weekend.
