End of season awards ceremony? : Tue Aug 30, 2022 7:24 pm
Or will it go the way of everything else designed to attract and retain fans whilst showing appreciation for the hard work the players and Staff have put in?
Surely the Ladies deserve an award? Eccles?
Who has been out stand out player and who has been the best improved?
These might seem like trivial matters but they have a huge impact on morale........and not at the cherry red gold lounge either.....book a VENUE and do something right in 2022.

I know what you mean Orange but I think they may need to run before they can walk. Keep it low key maybe next year will be better.
Player of the year is Parata - very consistent, always one of the better players on the pitch.
Most improved - there are lots to choose from but to an extent, and without trying to be snide, mainly because so many were anonymous in the 1st months of the season. Situ, Ulberg, Macani and Grant all played a significant part in our improving performances but IMHO did little in the early days- maybe that was Coleman’ s fault I just don’t know. I would tend to suggest most improved is Leyland. Like others (I think) I couldn’t see why the club thought so highly of him and Horsmann they proposed to build the team around him.to me he seemed very much a work in progress. The game time has definitely benefitted him and he is a much more influential and consistent player now. His kicking is still a bit scratchy but from the tee he has been much better than what went before. I’d also give an honourable mention to Williams who has been the forgotten man of the squad over the last couple of years but I think has been a solid team player and added a bit of go forward.
Having said all that if we get tanked by Leigh and then Barrow I suspect everyone will just want done with this season and rest for next year.

ADVERTISING IT as part of the sponsorship package for 2023...personally, id I were the club, I'd be PAYING for EVERY SPONSORS TABLE this year to try and give them some VFM, which none of them really have had.......
2022 has been a PR disaster and a HUGE disappointment in terms of Fan engagement and On the field performances......surely they have to try at least to salvage something?

To be honest, it is my belief that the club offer very little to the sponsors in the way of value.
I remember in the past sitting with one of the sponsors in the hospitality at Ealing. Sponsors had hospitality then.
In talking to the guy, I found that he offered 10% discount to season ticket holders. I and the others at the table new nothing of this.
Club sponsors never get mentioned at the ground on matchday. We have no program so no exposure there. No signs.
I do wonder if these sponsorship deals are what they seem or are they simply contra deals.
Like the Hull Trains sponsorship. I would not be surprised if some monkey got train tickets from them in exchange..
Look at when Dacia made a car available to the club. Lobster in the photos of the hand over was dressed like a tramp. What sort of impression did that give? No sign of Dacia at the club these days, is there ?
I believe that the only sponsor that pays pound notes is the LBSA and look at how the club treated them.
As with many things at the club you do wonder why people bother.

The sponsorship brochure states London Broncos is a professional Rugby League club. Stretching the truth a bit there ?

I'd just have it for the Ladies team.. I think most of us would prefer to forget that 2022 even existed concerning the mens team, but the Ladies deserve a major shout out, the only bright spot of the nightmare this season has become.

I'm not expecting anything other than 2 heavy defeats last 2 matches, after all I'll bet a lot of the players know they will be leaving at the end of the season, as I'm not expecting DH will be putting in anymore proper funding any time soon, and the fact we still have no clue who will be our coach next year is telling

Comedy gold. Talking of comedy gold the entrance price is £20.
