Wimbledon planning application : Thu Jul 08, 2021 5:21 pm
The planning application is due to be heard on July 15th and has been recommended for acceptance.

One of the comments suggests rugby being permitted would generate an extra 120-140k journeys p.a. Someone seems to think our gates will boom...

In 20 seasons in superleage fewer than 1,000,000 passed through the London gates. That's the facts of the matter. The last season in SL it was fewer than 14k

I've just read the residents letter part of that.....Christ. it smacks of "boo hoo we never wanted a stadium".....it waffles on about environmental impacts and air pollution caused by an imaginary 2k average at 30 RL games a year and threatens legal action......... :D

To be honest if Broncos go part time I can't see them playing there.

Dons cited their income at £200k minimum p.a. if Broncos give up on Superleague ambitions they can hire a pitch for five hours for matches and a training ground for 2 x 2 hours per week, possibly one up north and one down south, for a lot less than that per season. Especially if one training session is in a club paid for gym local to the players house but with IT kit etc tracking what they are doing

If this move goes ahead despite the club's collapse over the past 12 months then it would remove all doubts about Hughes being insane.

Not sure they realise how long it will take to get this Broncos back to Super League but you can't fault AFC's enthusiasm or is Hughes going to splash the cash?

If AFC want to ĺearn from Broncos, for their sake hope it's not in the area of fan engagement.
