In the commentary, Robbie Paul mentioned Fozard being out for a while too.

Not that we have any right to know these things, we're just fans of the club. That's how people usually defend the club's permanent radio silence, right?

Well that is what Northernbloke always says. I thought they said in commentary that 2 players had damaged cheekbones (Fozzard i think was 1 maybe Aston the other) so you would expect them to be out for a while. No reason for the club not to let the fans know. Not as though you are trying to mask the team for Halifax. Different if it was touch & go if they would be available.

Of my other 2 teams, Fulham are open about longer term injuries & Quins when they post the team for match-day, they also tell you who is injured & who is left out on rotation. As always with Broncos, everything seems to be on a need to know basis & as fans we just don't need to know. :WALL:

TBH, I can live with not knowing, in truth it makes no difference. I more worried about who we have that will replace them. Aston and Sammutt out, Fozard and maybe Davis....its alot of pressure on the youngsters

This is the problem with the squad this season, it has no depth, and even at full strength is still below Tolouse and Fev. With key players out it not a playoff team.......

With that team we put out vs York, we will get easily beaten vs Fax and Tolouse (assuming that game goes ahead), meaning we are already 2 games behind before we have Oldham and sheffield (and with the team vs York, I'm not confident of beating either of those teams either).

we really need that Tolouse game to be postponed right now.

I really don't see the playoffs this year, not with the squad we have

The wigan centre didn't play is he injured?

Also one of our experienced second rowers wasn't in the team.

Meadows was running the water I think, was he dropped or injured

Whats happened to the French guy on trial?

I would say the opposite, having not played for so long, I expected injuries.

Truth is, squad is not strong enough, and with the injuries we have currently I cannot see how we will pick up wins.

On that basis, we might be better not playing at Wimbledon this season if they have us & start again in 2022.

I'm struggling to work out when we will move to Wimbledon (assuming lockdown eases in line with the government's "not before" dates and that Wimbledon ratify the move). Has anyone got a feel for this? I'm quite looking forward to getting back to Ealing! At least I know how to get there!

Re: York game : Tue Mar 30, 2021 4:09 pm
From memory I think if Govt makes no changes to the not before dates & AFC get the test events completed & granted their licence then get their fans in, probably August sometime so last 2 or 3 games of season + maybe play off games (don't laugh).

With AFC still in the relegation zone but with a chance of getting out of it, playing any games there this year unless we are storming our way to promotion could be shooting ourselves in the foot. Doubt many or any AFC fans want to watch a mid table or worse losing team especially if they do end up being relegated.
