Who's the guy stealing leaving Dave? I'm personally not actually that clued up on office structure.

The ticket prices seem fine to me.
Especially season ticket and half season ticket.
Also say the Wimbledon deal is on I doubt they'd allow us to undercut their walk up prices.

They're not going to allow us to stick a 15 quid entry.
When it's 20 30 quid to get in for their football games.

Rob Powell head of youth I suspect is who he is referring. Rob was head coach for one season, unfortunately the year we spent to full salary cap and he didn't have the experience to carry it off.

Just noticed your signature is still in place

The McDermott//Powell transition effectively doomed the club. It was a shocking appointment - Powell shouldn't have been anywhere near the job and made a total hash of it. It's been downhill on and off the pitch ever since.

Looking at the quality of the squad from around the Quins RL era really is depressing.

I've never heard of a ground share deal where the owning club set the borrowing clubs admission prices. They may well set bar prices etc, as they often keep the revenue, but not admission prices.

The concern is £25 is a real deterrent to potential newcomers / returnees. Few people in London wake up wanting to pay to watch live RL. The club has to go out and win them over. £25 + all other related expenditure on something you have no idea whether you wil enjoy is enough to make people think. Multiply that up for a couple, family etc. Hopefully there are family on the gate tickets?

Fair enough if the club have planned promotions etc to attract newcomers / win back old fans. If so, good on them. However the last promotion I am aware of was a hundred or so free admission flyers dumped half hidden in a food venue in Ealing. I was a season ticket holder but picked one up anyway, they were for the previous match. Untargetted offers rarely work in the sports world If the club doesn't raise its game off the pitch, I fear the price will hurt the club.

I used to come in groups of up to twenty to Broncos games. I'm the only one left. I'll see if I can drag some of them back at some point but £25 + travel etc for something you have drifted away from will be a hard sell.

The other concern is those saying they are dropping from season tickets to pay on the gate will blow out potential mis-matches they would have attended if a season ticket holder or it was cheaper on the day. You then see fans drifting away over time.

If the club have a good new fan engagement / old fan re-engagement / fan retention strategy underpinning the pricing strategy, my concerns will be significantly reduced. Time will tell.

I do remember the Powell days he was definitely a poor appointment. Though in fairness you can't argue with the academy at the mo

My thinking with the walk-up ticket price.
Was when looked up plough lanes ticket prices.
It was 22 behind the goals and 30 in the main stand or something like that.

And as were I'd imagine all us broncos fans are in the main stand. We been set at €25 I know we're just tenants.
But with similar size the clubs crowds and divisions.
If we signed up to some sort of 10-year agreement.
it just wouldn't surprise me if we've been asked to keep a similar price ticket. Or its even in the agreement.
Buts it's a total guess lads.
Over here attending any soccer rugby or Gaa.
Would be €25 plus it's didn't seem far off to me.
Though Ireland not the cheapest in general.
Plus there trying to get old broncos heads on the semi season ticket and drag them to more games.

I maybe one of the deluded ones, but I cannot agree with all this negativity. Yes the McDermott/Powell handover was a disaster, but it was a long time ago. On paper we had a decent team, but team spirit collapsed. Going to Barnet was a dreadful move, trailfinders was just OK, but wasn’t a long term solution.

Put aside 2020, 2017-19 were three great seasons with good signings, a developing team spirit and a great coach. Our season in SL surpassed many of our expectations, certainly mine. In Danny Ward we have a proven and tested coach - let’s have some faith. I think Toulouse are the strongest on paper, but who knows how Covid in France will affect them and their ability to fill fixtures. I believe we can finish 2, 3, 4 - then it’s up in the air.

Wimbledon seems a sensible move, prices - they are what they are, we all have a choice.

RL is in a desperate state as Ed3 points out. For once we actually look like we are making sensible decisions - let’s get behind the team and see how the season goes.

It's been downhill since we sacked Tony Currie. The only positive since then is that we now produce juniors to be snapped up by northern teams.

There lies the problem. We now accept championship rugby and relegation from SL as the norm.
