Senior for me, every day of the week.

Senior is obviously the better player, but he's at the end of a long career and Clubb is in the early stages of his. You also have to remember that early in his representative career Senior actually spent time on the wing because we had superior centres such as Connolly and Newlove.

I've never regarded Senior as a great centre, a very good one certainly, but his great strength has been his consistency through the years. I doubt Clubb will become a great centre either, but I suspect he may become a very good second-row in time if he can improve his overall defensive game (he's already well on the way to becoming a devastating attacking second-row).

Newlove, now he really was a great player in his prime, as was Connolly. I hope we can find someone as talented as them one day. In fact Senior has been a very good Centre, not exactly subtle more along the rough and brutal side - but very effective
