Surrey credentials seem good, not sure about Hull KR? - it is up to Paul now and for everyone to give him a chance and every opportunity.

It does not sound like the major re-organization of the club we expected or are more details to come?

Where did that come from, I hadn't heard of such a thing.

I cannot believe some of the old fashioned and stereotypical attitudes posted on here about RU.

What is wrong with having more RU fans coming to the games and hopefully all being converted into RL fans. You all have a lot in common.

Your all cockneys, who eat jellied eels at half time, drink weak beer and have got loads of money.

just think of the opportunities you will have cheerleaders dressed up like pearly kings and Queens, union jack flags, Charles and Camilla we love rugby t shirts and chas and Dave to do the pre match commentary

sounds like a dispute between a lot of southern poofters to me.

Steady! If that means getting rid of the cheeky cheerleader who's skirt seemed to ride a bit too high on Saturday, then I'm dead against this guy coming in!

Freedom for supporters of the government, only for members of one party - however numerous they may be - is no freedom at all. freedom is always and exclusively for one who thinks differently.

There was an article in this week's League Express reporting that Quins were going to announce a "major reorganisation" in which Evans would be appointed CEO, with a general manager (unnamed in the article) also appointed to assist him.

This rumour started circulating Sunday.

That rumour started long before last Sunday. I think I first heard it in late January.....and I still live in hope that it will happen. Mr B would seem to have a lot of commercial and revenue generating experience and I would hope his days would be taken up doing that for us, with someone else looking after the boring stuff.

The fact that Blanchard has the title of General Manager, not used by QuinsRL/Broncos previously afaik, and that Mark Evans said "“I am delighted to welcome Paul to the Harlequins family and look forward to working with him in a close and mutually beneficial way.” does suggest that the Evans rumour has some legs.

I don't recall Evans welcoming Paul Brown's appointment in the same terms.

I would think if Evans is goiing to be a joint CEO, with one club with two codes it will wait until the Union season finishes. The Union lot will want his concentration on maximising their prospects until the season ends and then adapting during their close season. At least that is what I would do,

I agree with you. Harlequins are challenging for a play-off spot and any announcement about "joining up" will be left until the Union season is over for Quins.
